Job Purpose: Develop new and repeat sales by providing accurate quotations in timely manner and following up to quotations submitted to customers .

Job duties:

  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Utilize established quoting system in accordance with standard procedures
  • Set up and maintain customer files in accordance with standard procedures
  • Work with other departments in the organization to provide accurate quotations in a timely manner
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Present price, Statement of Work (SOW) and terms in accordance with standard procedures
  • Follow up with customers post quotation submittal to ensure quote meets customer’s expectations, status of the project, likelihood Girtz will receive order, etc.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Follow up on inquiries generated from multiple avenues including: web site, phone calls, trade shows, trade show publications, etc.
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively within the organization

Job Title: Inside Sales Associate Job Category: Salaried Exempt

  • Maintain proficiency in using personal computer and other common office equipment and software
  • Follow company policies and procedures in accordance with company handbook
  • Present a professional image at all times to peers, customers and suppliers
  • Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals
  • Possible travel as required
  • Contribute constructive ideas / changes to the quote calculators
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance required.
  • Obtain vendor supplied quotes as needed

Immediate Goals:

  • Familiarize yourself with Girtz Industries company culture, departments and respective manager, personnel, handbook and products
  • Work with Inside Sales team to learn quoting calculator(s)
  • Review quoting process with Director of Sales

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
